Public and Products Liability - Who is covered:
The policy incorporates the Sporting Shooters' Association of Australia (Vic) Ltd, the Executive, Committees, Sub-Committees, Branches, Affiliated Clubs, Members, Range Officers Voluntary Workers, Trainees and Authorised Visitors.
What is covered:
All sums which the Association/Branch/Club/Member becomes legally liable to pay as compensation [including claims costs and expenses] as a result of Personal Injury or Property Damage caused by an Occurrence in connection with the Lawful activities of the Association/Branch/Club/Members.
Policy Extensions include:
- Property in the Care, Custody and control of the Association/Branch/Club
- Pressure Vessel Explosion
- Tenants' Liability [covering the liability of the land owner as a tenant]
- Member to member Liability [covering the Association/Branch/Clubs liability
for members negligence to other members
- Personal Liability of Members whilst involved in outdoor activities including
- Hunting, Fishing and Conservation Work

Association and Officials Indemnity - Background:
The Associations Incorporation Act creates obligations in respect of matters such as the powers of an association/club, matters such as membership, accounting and auditing and the keeping of records are but a few. The SSAA policy is specifically designed to protect the Association, Branch and Affiliated Clubs, Officers, Committees and Sub Committees against legal liability they may incur through the performance of their duties.

Compensation Benefits:
Weekly Benefits [payable for 52 weeks]
Out of Pocket expenses [including non Medicare Benefits]
Special Condition:
Compensation payable under this policy shall be reduced should the member be entitled to receive benefits under any Workers Compensation Act or any legislation having a similar effect
