The transcript of SSAA Victoria’s presentation to the Inquiry into the Control of Invasive Animals on Crown Land public hearing has been released.
On September 5, the Association’s Chief Executive Officer and Training and Programs Co-ordinator were invited to expand on SSAA Victoria’s submission at the Parliament House hearing.
Also invited to the hearings were Game Management Authority, Invasive Species Council, the Department for Land, Water and Planning, Australian Deer Association, Vertebrate Pest Managers Association, Bushwalking Victoria and RSPCA Victoria.
The Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Committee, which is undertaking the inquiry, comprises Member for Thomastown Bronwyn Halfpenny, Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy, Member for Western Victoria Simon Ramsay, Member for Mordialloc Tim Richardson, Member for Benambra Bill Tilley, Member for Eltham Vicki Ward and Member for Northern Victoria Daniel Young.
The committee will report on its findings by March 30 next year.
