SSAA Victoria has invited members to participate in preparing a submission for the parliamentary inquiry into RSPCA Victoria’s funding and use of powers.
The inquiry will consider the appropriateness of the RSPCA’s powers under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986 and how those powers have been used.
It will also investigate the appropriateness and use of funding provided by the Victorian Government, including in the context of its other objectives and activities.
Finally, the inquiry will investigate any other consequential matters the Committee may deem appropriate.
SSAA Victoria will be preparing a paper for submission by Monday, March 20.
Anyone wishing to provide content for the Association’s submission is invited to email email@example.com prior to close of business on Wednesday, March 15. All content will be considered.
The committee will report on the inquiry by August 22.
