Shooting Disciplines

Shotgun Shooting

SSAA VIC Shotgun caters for five shooting disciplines. All revolve around shooting clay targets. Sporting Clays, Fivestand, Tower, American Skeet and Trap are shotgun disciplines available through the SSAA Vic.

Little River Sporting Clays- LRSC

The Little River Sporting Clays Club was formed in 2001 to develop a competitive sporting clays course at the Eagle Park Range in Little River. The SSAA (Vic) started the club to also set up a FITASC compliant clay target ground and take part in the Victorian competition circuit.

As such, the LRSC is affiliated to the FITASC international body which has accredited the Eagle Park Range in Little River as approved for International competition.

All members of the LRSC can take part in the state competitions and if their skills are good enough they can aspire to the National and International competition events.

The LRSC holds competitions on the 4th Sunday of each month and holds coaching and practice sessions on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Monthly competitions usually involve a 75 target course on one of Victoria's most exciting sporting clays ground. A typical 75 round target course will cost approximately $35.

The shotgun clubrooms are well appointed and offer canteen–style food and beverages. All persons are encouraged to come and try the shotgun clay target sport and will be warmly welcomed.
