The Game Management Authority (GMA) has announced that In recognition of the unprecedented impact on Victoria’s game hunters caused by physical distancing measures, Hog Deer hunters are not required to send their 2020 Hog Deer Tag Return Form to the GMA.
GMA has asked hunters to dispose of their Hog Deer Tag Return Form and any unused tags by June 2020. Hog Deer tags are different every year, so you will not be able to use them next season.
SSAA Victoria welcomes this decision by the GMA. It is a win for common sense and comes after SSAA Victoria raised the matter with GMA. It is further proof that advocacy works.
GMA has acknowledged hunters who are doing the right thing and acting responsibly.
