Board Update

SSAA Victoria is pleased to announce that Dave Schereck has been elected as the new President of the Board.

Dave was previously the Senior Vice President and took over from Denis Moroney who stood down in January 2022. Dave was appointed unopposed.

He has had a lifelong involvement in target pistol and rifle shooting (civilian and military) having done stints as club president and club captain of a number of pistol and rifle clubs, and as Regional Coordinator for IPSC Victoria in the 1980s. Dave is also a keen hunter.

He is committed to SSAA Victoria and wants to continue contributing to developing regional branches, undertaking advocacy for hunters, future-proofing our ranges by acquiring adjoining properties and supporting branches and sub clubs.

As President, Dave is now also SSAA Victoria’s delegate to the SSAA National Board.

We also congratulate long-time Board member, Jeff Kuyken, on his election to the position of Senior Vice President; and Neil Hibble to being elected as Junior Vice President.

Following the resignation of Marion Barnes from the Board, Josh Knight has been appointed to fill the casual vacancy that was created. Like Marion, Josh hails from a regional branch. We congratulate Josh.
