Portland Rifle Club’s aim is to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to experience rifle shooting, regardless of sex, colour or physical condition. The Les Jones Range at Point Danger has shooting points from 200m out to 900m with two targets and a third to be erected. Shooting at this range is carried out on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Benchrest competition is carried out at the Thistle Road range, which has 16 benches and targets lines at 50m, 100m and 200m. Benchrest is on the first Sunday of every month.
