Firearm Safety Course

This in-person event is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to ensure safe handling and operation of firearms. The course is approved by Victoria Police for longarm firearm licence applications.

This is the basic Firearm Safety Course, if you are interested in doing the practical safety course please see the Practical Firearm Safety Course.

To avoid disrupting other attendees, interpreters will not be permitted during this course.

(Members receive a 20% discount on all courses). 

Cancellation (refund or reschedule): If you are unable to attend the course you have booked, you must notify the Training Department two (2) days prior to your booked session in order to obtain a refund or to reschedule. (All refunds will incur a $10 administration fee).

During this course, our experienced and qualified instructors will cover a range of topics including firearm information, firearm safety rules, firearm handling techniques, safe storage practices, and your legal responsibilities. This course is suitable for anyone wishing to apply for a longarm firearm licence in Victoria.

By attending this course, you will gain valuable insights and learn best practices to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you when handling firearms.

If you successfully complete this course, you will be issued a completion certificate. Ensure to keep this certificate as you will need to provide a copy when you submit your firearm licence application.
