Gamebird Hunting Essentials Masterclass

The Gamebird Hunting Essentials Masterclass (formerly the Shotgunning Education Program) was developed by a Game Management Authority, SSAA Victoria and Field and Game Australia to assist hunters in improving their chances of bagging birds and reducing wounding rates. With an increasing number of animal rights activists trying to stamp out duck hunting, educating hunters and reducing wounding is more important than ever before.

The one-day, hands-on workshops are run by accredited trainers, will assist Australian hunters in the use of non-toxic shot, equipment selection and the development of key shooting and hunting skills, while sharing proven hunting strategies and techniques with attendees. The program was specifically designed to deliver practical benefits to all game bird hunters, from novice to experienced.

The Gamebird Hunting Essentials Masterclass includes:

  • shooting skills coaching
  • estimating distance
  • matching choke and load to hunting location and target species
  • pattern testing field choke and load combinations specific to your shotgun
  • gamebird retrieval strategies

Join in or get a group together and become a more effective and efficient gamebird hunter.
