Report illegal hunting online

Game Management Authority has introduced a new tool to allow people to report illegal and irresponsible hunting online.

At a recent meeting of shooting industry bodies involved in the Respect, Hunt Responsibly campaign, the regulator encouraged all law-abiding hunters to report those doing the wrong thing.

The irresponsible or illegal behaviour of some damages the reputation of hunters and can create unsafe or unsustainable situations.

It is important that responsible and legal hunters encourage the rest of the community to do the right thing and do not tolerate illegal or irresponsible behaviour.

To lodge a report, you will be required to provide the date, time, and location, the number of people involved and descriptions of those people, a vehicle description, incident description and any additional information.

All reports are treated as confidential and the source of the information is kept private.  You can remain anonymous if you wish, although it assists investigating officers if they can contact you for further details.

SSAA Victoria encourages its members to help protect their recreation and promote responsible hunting by reporting any suspected offences.

Visit the website to see the online reporting form.
