Are you passionate about teaching and passing on your shooting skills?
SSAA Victoria is seeking training staff for its Practical Firearms Training Program.
Our full-day courses within the program equip participants with a working knowledge of firearms that includes a three-hour range shoot as its practical component.
Due to the growing popularity for the introductory course, there is a need for more trainers willing and capable of delivering it on a regular basis.
The introductory course is designed for people who have basic firearms knowledge and novices who have never handled firearms.
The full-day courses are held at SSAA Victoria Eagle Park and Springvale ranges. We are currently offering both weekend and weekday courses.
Classes numbers are limited to 14 participants so more time is dedicated to individual needs.
Topics covered in the PFTP include:
- Risk control and basic firearms safety
- Safe storage, transportation and handling
- Types of firearms, major parts and actions
- Ammunition anatomy
- Firing techniques and procedures
- Firearms maintenance
- Sighting-in procedures
If you are interested in becoming a part of this popular program, send your details to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please include your full name and SSAA membership number as well as details about previous experience with firearms and/or training background.
